Science and engineering is often seen as the opposite end of the creative spectrum to story and writing. Yet both require a sense of wonder, a quest for more, and an ability to be comfortable with the uncomfortable. Cristy uses topical and recent examples from science and technology to interactively demonstrate ways that STEM can be used to fire creative imaginations.

I think we all need to learn to think critically and creatively, to solve problems in new and innovative ways. Writing science and fiction (and combining the two) is a great way to teach these skills.”
Cristy’s science author workshops and talks are available to book from $400.
